WHY: Money raised supports programs at Hispanic Center
- Youth programming: serves at-risk youth in the Grand Rapids Area
- Adult education: computer and ESL
- Domestic Abuse, mental health, acculturation: counseling
- Information and referral: provide support to people in the community by
linking agency and connecting people with resources
- Promoting self-sufficiency: help with employment, resume writing,
connecting potential employees with employers in the area, employability
skills testing and training
- Community events: Dia de los Muertos, Hispanic Festival, Voter
registration drives, winter coat give always, bike helmet safety, booster
seat safety trainings, Hispanic Heritage month
- Diversity and Cultural trainings for local area businesses, schools and
universities
