Providing Opportunities to Be Heard. Local “rising 9th graders” in the Supporting Our Leaders (SOL) Program this summer worked with journalist, Federico Martinez, to develop, write, edit and publish stories of importance to them on an online website as part of the Believe 2 Become initiative of the Douglas and Maria DeVos Foundation to stop summer learning loss. We are currently seeking interpreters with bilingual capacity in the following languages:
Spanish - English and Vice-Versa
Bosnian – English and Vice-Versa
Chinese – English and Vice-Versa
Arabic – English and Vice-Versa
Burmese – English and Vice-Versa
Albanian – English and Vice- Versa
Vietnamese – English and Vice- Versa
Burmese – English and Vice- Versa

If you are proficient in any one of these languages with the ability to interpret to and from English, then you are invited to apply at the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan. The positions that we currently have available are part-time and offer very flexible scheduling.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred
- Proficiency in both English and another specified language
- Experience with Medical, Legal, and/or Business terminology
